I don’t think it would be that different from parts of suburban Europe? It’s not like modal splits in the far suburbs are that different (transit is low in those parts of Europe and 0 in the USA). I do think European engineers are more comfortable with delay at the peak hour though.

The population is young, some can be easily coopted into various networks. Even before 2023, Gaza and West Bank seemed to have some key Islamic State outposts. We have no idea how big they are now. I'd prefer not to test. But as Aaron starts with his article, trends are obvious.
