So much of tech fetishism is just, making a shitty facsimile of some idealized experience that you can’t get because the corporation pushing the tech destroyed the conditions for it (in this caseby underpaying and churning staff)

What chatbots create in general is this whack a mole of targeted restrictions on harmful prompts, everything the llm produces bad output for has to be individually found and stopped. It cannot be made safe in a generalizable way.
