#SmallTownRemedy #cdrama still amazes me. It's very serious with health care system issues, especially poverty and costs, competition of funeral services, loss, difficult decisions, fears. But it's also funny with a really dark humor. Really great cast, every one of them.

This is apparently not a female-centric storyline. So women's attitude and behavior are understandable in that time frame. Sometimes viewers tend to project their own modern values/sensibilites onto characters in historical cdramas.

True, and I know this is historically set, but the story line increasingly feels like stereotypes of the way women are supposed to feel about sex and motherhood. The female characters don't feel fully-fleshed out. They don't even get much/any internal monologue.
