I'm just a (very) junior law professor, but I spent 8+ years in big law before coming back to the academy. The framing isn't just puzzling, it seems totally inaccurate and a disservice to students to refer to law firms as "evil." Makes me question the judgment of a law prof making the claim, tbh.
Show PostIt's not just biglaw! This is the practice of law. By the logic of the OP, it would be best for every commercial law firm, small real estate shops to massive multinationals, to just fold up shop.
Show PostWhat a puzzling framing. The **overwhelming** majority of Weil's business (by time, profits and people) was transactional & bankruptcy work.
