My favorite Ed Zitron is wrong moment was when he claimed that AI models weren't dangerous from a cybersecurity perspective and it was all hype. And boy, look at those 0-days coming out...

the big thing Zitron has been loud and wrong on that stands out to me is that inference had to be running at a loss. it has seemed pretty obvious for some time that that isn't true, and the Anthropic documents make it clear that it's not true by about an order of magnitude costwise.
