I don't think people realise how much progress CATL, BYD, Geely and others have made in battery technology in the last 8 years. I'm just a casual observer, but today's batteries are not your 1st gen Leaf or Model S.

Other nations are backing the replacement of diesel with batteries, the one thing that's making groceries & trade goods cost more, in the US that effort is not there anymore, the nation that developed the first practical solar panels. Kinda sad how that played out
