To this day I do not enjoy war simulators or games that pride themselves on modern firearm accuracy and such - I don’t even really like games that take place in older or ancient historical periods without a very strong obviously fake element (or nonviolent approach à la masterpieces like Pentiment)

When I was a kid my parents did not like violence & caught me playing Wolfenstein 3d. Rather than coming down on fantasy violence my dad said he did not want me playing games that made light of real world violence. Nothing military, nothing based on real battles, etc. Firmly believe he was right
