The Arc of the Moral Universe Is Long, But It Bends Towards Justice.⚖️ (We will defeat this subversion of our constitutional democracy… but it will take time. Protest constantly, keep up the pressure, and VOTE. This is a marathon not a sprint.)

Whatever else you remember him for, remember him for this.
Show PostCrankshaft, a daily comic strip I believe has always been wholly apolitical, has suddenly lurched into a trenchant anti-Trumpist storyline this week. www.gocomics.com/crankshaft/2...
Show PostThe other thing Davis will need is a bunch of MAGA types to stay home and then some percentage of Trump voters to flip to him. He’s potentially on track for Black and urban turnout, GOP base seems depressed and unmotivated so those are early signs in his favor we can see now
Show Postaside from Davis’ home parish … those are the signs I’d look for. Party reg has notoriously been weird here since there were decades where conservative Dems didn’t re-register when they switched parties, but it’s less of an issue now. But there’s no way to reliably compare to past years I suspect
Show PostGreat question. I’m not a data guy, but based on my experience I’d say very high Black turnout across the state, very high urban turnout regardless of party, high turnout in some of the parishes the data centers are building in, lower than normal turnout in most of the northern half of the state
