as a trans woman with actual lived experience in this, I can tell you that "you could just not tell anyone you're trans" and "you could just be a man at work" are both incredibly common responses to trans women's worries about employment

LOL, that's amazing. I can't relate the many stories, but suffice to say that a crowd of incredibly excited Trek fans with feverish anticipation were pretty disappointed in the Q&A session with the cast. Stewart was by leaps the most gracious and entertaining, everyone else was remarkably mid.
