We made npmx even faster! Fun origin story: just for fun, I was trying to get npmx deployed to @netlify.com at full fidelity, and it's while benchmarking differences that I discovered all these (six!) perf optimization opportunities. I feel like there's a lesson here, but I don't know what it is.

I used to go to school while the sun was going out. It was perfectly fine. You just walk on the sidewalk and enjoy the early morning— oh. Oh you don't have sidewalks???????

Google has been defunding the web and destroying journalism for years. This was always going to eventually be bad for Google itself, but the people who still work there have been snorting their own undiluted Kool-Aid about being anything other than parasites so hard that they can't see it coming.
