There's only so much I can do as a single individual when not even the school has the power to get parents to please provide some kind of treatment for their children. This kid is very obviously autistic and ADHD, along with another 10 kids in this big ass class

That's also why I get really annoyed when people whine about ableism in the classroom. I think almost everyone fails neurodivergent children. If everyone is on different pages then the only person who's going to suffer is the child.

This is something I literally cannot resolve in the classroom myself. The school can't even do anything because these parents get really offended when you try and ask them if their kids have been evaluated. They really think it's offensive to ask.

Even though I've been sending messages to his parents for almost a year at this point about how he does literally nothing in my class, nothing's changed. He's also definitely neurodivergent.

It's so funny how these parents are mega conservative but then simply refuse to take responsibility for any aspect of raising their children. Personal responsibility for thee but not for me!!
