I wrote my book because there needs to be some awareness of how bad our public policy is toward sports venues. Everyday there's another subsidy proposed, and everyone acts like it's a reasonable policy choice. Why not just hand out cigarettes to teenagers?

This would make sense if he was running for something. He’d be trying, in effect, to move the Overton window: casting anyone to his left as radical while portraying himself as the voice of reason. Except, he seems to get off on offending people—“triggering the libs” as it were.
