East Anglia's only medieval wooden font, at Marks Tey, Essex. The lower part is modern. Interestingly, the reliefs appear to have been erased - did they depict the seven sacraments, perhaps? #FontsonFriday

Wow! This late Roman blue glass cup went on a 12,000 km journey across continents, to the ancient Silla Kingdom in Korea! 🤯 It was excavated from the royal Cheonmachong Tomb, Gyeongju. Early AD 500s. Gyeongju National Museum 📷 by me #FindsFriday #Archaeology
