I did some desperate phone banking for Dems in Kansas in the 2016 election, so I understand that many of these extremely annoying calls are a bunch of really dedicated volunteers. But once I've already voted their "get out the vote" efforts are pretty irrelevant.

of course fundraising is still important, but I can't be the only one who gets extremely tired of candidates begging for money when I can barely make ends meet, just to get into office and not sufficiently address cost-of-living issues anyway. Bet that depresses voter turnout.
