You're articulating one of my great fears here. A blowout will be great but a total rebrand is necessary to get those unfavorable numbers out from underwater with the majority of Americans, especially with the youngs as you note. Building a lasting coalition & rebranding on the fly–helluva thing.

Some people are mad at this observation but this is what happened in 2020. When Trump suddenly gained 20 million more votes, we should have had some introspection. Instead, we pretended it was an aberration that could never happen again, and we all paid for it.

The takeaway from this is to put strong progressives in local offices, where they can help build a foundation so we don't have to worry about Ye Olde Dems falling back into bad habits circa 2010.
