I see posts on here almost every day, berating people for not using alt text, telling them they're ableist, sometimes telling them they're bad people. And that makes me feel awful. I have long covid. I have something that could be classed as a disability. It's certainly disabling.

I'm going to talk about alt text because it's been bothering me for a while. I have long covid, and with it significant fatigue and brain fog. I'm not always able to write alt text. I can't make my brain work enough to describe a picture, or the effort it would take to do that is exhausting.
