That’s why the NDP introduced a bill to remove Section 107 from the Canada Labour Code. The House of Commons will vote on it today. We will see who stands with Canadian workers and their families when it matters.

Canada is not made stronger by attacking the workers who help build our country. Taking job action is the only real power labour has to even the playing field. By interfering with this, Liberals are making it harder for workers to negotiate fair wages during a cost-of-living crisis.

This violates workers’ Charter rights and undermines collective bargaining. Employers don’t negotiate in good faith when they know the government will bail them out.
