Let’s not forget that internet is crucially necessary in this day and age. Islamic Republic shut down the internet in Iran during the January uprising, but after a while after the war started, they had to restart it, because it was destroying the economy.

@skepchick.org did an analysis of this recently, basically saying it's wishful thinking. Hitting Russian data centers seems to be impacting their banking systems more than anything else from what I've read.
