But that's the point! There's only one advantage we can purchase you've mentioned that attracts VAT. It's also the only one that actually *reduces* demands on the State. That's just wrong - it's a policy that Labour introduced solely as a sop to dogmatic members. Utterly unpragmatic.

Ah right. Is it just education you object to some kids having a privilege in? Only I take my daughter to junior parkrun quite often - is that training advantage okay? I'm sure I spend more time with her than a lot of other dads I know - do I need to cut that back too?

Everyone has greater or lesser privilege to some degree. My daughter is at private school, but that means we probably won't be getting stuff other kids have. Taxing private education is fundamentally wrong. It's a good thing and it reduces the demand on the state (where my wife works, btw). Sure
