I actually think Ed hates me now for telling him that actually, no, American companies intentionally embedding themselves into people's 401Ks and the American defense infrastructure at a rapid pace will not be allowed to collapse overnight, that they will be bailed out. But the scam he sees is real.

There is no doubt that this is an overleveraged bubble, that five or six companies keep lending money back and forth to each other to make their books look cleaner than they are, and even despite this they are all deeply underwater. Ed's problem is he predicted the market would correct for euphoria.

Every single numskull ex-reporter who has been paid off by the AI industry seems to have their knives out for Ed Zitron on Twitter today because he went on The Daily Show's podcast. I don't think it's coordinated, I just think they're all uniformly embarrassed by the same bad hill they're dying on.
