It sounds so very milquetoast but things in the UK aren't.. horrid. They aren't as bad as some claim and aren't as good as they could be - the reasons are complicated, and proffering simple solutions or kneejerk rejections to any attempt to fix things is how we end up like... ... France.

I can bounce the legislation at you if needed - but in truth an Act will be interpreted by a Justice in each individual case. Usually they are going to be much more nuanced than the broad brushstrokes that our legislative arm builds, and therein a set precedent will establish reasonability.
