When you get a big flake in the same bite as a melty chocolate chip… 🤤 And you can get flake salt in the store, but it’s a little pricey (for salt)

It’s really just a salt structure formed by slow and steady evaporation of salty water. And because it forms bigger (compared to a regular grain of salt) but thin “flakes” it it hits the tongue with a quick salty burst. So i use it to sprinkle lightly on cookies right when they get out of the oven.
