I used to consider doom to be inferior to doom 2 solely on the grounds that it didn't have the super shotgun, to the point that I'd ignore wads that weren't for doom 2 and was baffled when sigil wasn't, but I've come around since then
Show PostI think it had a lot to do with the fact that some of my formative doom memories were playing just long enough to get the super shotgun in 2 and blast everything in my path, and then going "haha that's awesome, anyway I'm gonna go do something else now" before ammo consumption became an issue
