But so am I. I believed I was a lost cause before I met him. I’ve hurt people too, people I genuinely loved but couldn’t see past my own worthlessness to fully express it. But he’s not a lost cause. I love someone deeply flawed, but I find flawed diamonds more beautiful than perfect ones.
Show PostHere’s the truth: I fell in love with someone who most people would consider a lost cause. There are people in this world who hurt my partner, and admittedly he in turn, because they don’t understand the damage he’s experienced. They underestimated what lies beneath the surface.
