I've just renewed our mortgage with our fixed rate from early 2022 expiring and it's costing several hundred pounds more every month now. Our weekly shop has gone up by £200 a month too. So thank God the Chancellor is bringing in a raft of measures that will save... *checks notes* £2 per month.

Minimum wage once again going up by more than inflation. At this rate it'll soon be "UK Wage" as it becomes the basic pay for all jobs. Anyone earning more will be forced to pay 80% tax and donate their recycling to the charity shop to let them claim bottle refunds. www.ft.com/content/63b0...
