I listened to a podcast yesterday about a guy who purchased peptides on the internet. Then he grew paranoid, separated from his wife whom he was convinced was conspiring against him, blew all of his money, became severely depressed, etc. Turns out the “peptides” were anabolic steroids.

Dr. McLaughlin is exactly right. Herbal supplements are renowned for misleading claims, and in addition to at times not containing what they say they contain, they also have very small amounts of contaminants like lead, cadmium and arsenic.

I literally switched doctors once when she prescribed ashwaganda for what turned out to be PCOS, that's how seriously I take this. The supply chain for supplements is utterly fucked, and peptides are somehow *even sketchier*
