"I want to know that my professor is actually sitting with the essays I write." Every student should be empowered to make this demand. And I think the best thing we can do as teachers who are doing this "sitting with" is to be transparent and loud about our choice to do so.

It doesn't help the anxiety of midterms. Or hearing ppl STILL excuse the man in the WH. I can't focus. I used to read 1k books all time, even as a full time teacher and attending grad school. Le sigh
