2012 I was nursing my mum, she had lung cancer which had spread to her liver and brain, she had 6 brain tumors and didn't know who I was anymore. 2 weeks after they told us it was terminal she got a letter from DWP saying she was found "fit for work" Fuck the DWP

A reminder here that the ludicrous crackdowns and draconian sentencing that have filled prisons to bursting have been the order of the day for the whole 21st century so far, and that there are clear culprits.

There's absolutely no benefit to monarchy for anyone but the monarch and even they sometimes lose out by being monarch. To be a monarchist is to knowingly support a system of government that will make your life worse. Monarchists are the biggest of clowns.

I recall being told in December 2024 by a mid-level USG official that Israel would make comprehensive deals with the Palestinian Authority, Syria, Lebanon and normalize relations with Saudi by the end of 2025 under Trump.
