This will only be our 4th year here and there has been a noticeable uptick in decorating - I like to think I started something.

We love handing out the treats. And every year we get a little who wanders right into our house to check out the cardboard skeleton my husband sets up. 😆 We get lots of kids it’s fun.

It's always been curious to me that the handful of Titanic graves in Halifax are standard tourist destinations, but the mass grave from the Explosion is not. Titantic (1912) — 1,496 deceased. Halifax Explosion (1917) — 1,782 deceased + ~9,000 injured.

The Mi’kmawey Debert Cultural Centre ground blessing was such a beautiful event. The land where the centre will be built is the same land Mi’kmaw hunters occupied 13,000 years ago, hunting mastodons and caribou. A true land back initiative. I got to go because East Coast Credit Union is a donor.
