Rebecca, why not digitize? Because that takes resources too and I’m trying to solve a physical issue—publisher storage, library deacquisition (which always freaks ppl out), anxiety about disappearing archives.

I’ve seen all the “we have data centers, they’re called libraries, etc” posts. Hear me out: we *turn* data centers into subsidized book storage facilities. Anyone in bookworld will tell you that storage is a big issue. Also we take over Amazon trucks to nationalize interlibrary loan.
