my Philips is an idiot of sorts, it does have an OS and it does suck, but it asked "can I haz internet?" once, I told it "no fuck you TV, we're watching HDMI1" and it never asked again their service is quite good too, mainboard died and 2 days later a guy came to my home, swapped it and that was it
