I mean, this quote is pretty obviously not complaining about some sincere believer in a Native American religion, it’s complaining about stealing Native culture to make a quick buck.

iirc the only people that ever got mad at the UUs for cultural appropriation were some Native American churches. it's always struck me as an odd complaint because historically another people adopting your people's religion meant you won.
