~ Brexit ‘a massive fraud’, Picardo says as he backs Burnham ~ https://www.chronicle.gi/brexit-a-massive-fraud-picardo-says-as-he-backs-burnham/

Show PostThey will keep on demonstrating if we don’t apologise, so doing the right thing here will not make matters worse. What might make it worse on a different axis is refusing to apologise for something we know was wrong.
Show PostShould we be proud that we acted to suppress the slave trade? Sure. But that fact has two important sequelae: (1) It is necessarily implicit in our suppression of the trade that we knew it was wrong; and (2) it is equally implicit that we accepted we should never have been involved in it.
