everything i have heard secondhand about how people are talking about the issue on other sites has been nothing short of horrific, at this point IDK if i'm being too ignorant/chill just hiding in my bsky mutuals cave or if the public has become a cognitohazard that should be avoided for one's sanity

That is genuinely disgusting to think of authors that way. I have so much respect for all the authors and their stories I read every night before sleeping to tackle the next day. Genuinely screw the people who think of authors like that. 💢
