It is likely that we will get an update on this in two to three weeks, as there will be first another meeting of the coalition of the willing in Berlin and the week after another UDCG meeting in Brussels. I also got in touch with the US DoS and the German MoD.

I want to highlight that it is not clear if this is a new German contribution, as the German government has pledged to contribute $200 million via JUMPSTART for the procurement of PAC-3 missiles back in June 2026, with (AFAIK) no new PAC-3 FMS cases being approved since then (besides this one).

The U.S. Department of State has approved the potential sale of 500 PAC-3 MSE missiles and related equipment to Ukraine worth $2.1 billion, which are planned to be financed by Germany alongside Canada and Norway via the JUMPSTART programme and the EU's Ukraine Support Loan.
