The part that gets me is that it doesn't even work. If the Republican candidate says "we should do a lot of genocide" and the Democrat candidate says "Well, I accept that genocide is a good idea, we should just do it slowly", why the fuck would a voter with no other context choose Democrat

I live in a place where no red politician has a chance at all. Statistically in my area the Republican vote is so low it’s often close to the margin of error, my district is basically guaranteed blue, but if I dare vote Green it’s entirely my fault Democrats hate us, suck ass, and lose.
