Aside: more than 50% of GERs are critical of Ukraine joining the EU. The reason has nothing to do with Ukraine itself. Many GERs believe that the EU is already too big. Furthermore, GER is a donor country, whilst Hungary, for example, is a net recipient. Germans fear they would have to pay evenmore.
