And purchase intent does not always correlate to purchase behavior. LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight had higher purchase intent than 007 First Light in our pre-launch tracking, but so far 007 First Light has sold better in the US. It's a vibe check more than anything. Don't overthink it.

Each month we ask a rotating representative sample of approx 2.5k US console/PC video game players what upcoming games they intend to buy. So long as they're active players they can report that they're interested in whatever game they're interested in. It's not that complicated.

There are no prerequisites for someone saying they'd like to buy a game, and console players and PC players aren't separate populations. Don't torture the data.
