Unrelated to this thread, the Holmes also has some wonderful syntactic diagrams, like this one.
Show PostSuper interesting to find diagrams in this 19th century grammar of Classical Japanese. Author is Mozume Takayo, and it was possibly printed after 1868 with blocks used in an earlier 1858 edition. Thank you @schrift-sprache.bsky.social for helping me understand what I am looking at.
